Norway and Sweden will lock horns with each other in a friendly international next week. The match between Stale Solbakken’s side and Graham Potter’s team will be held at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo and is scheduled to kick off at 6pm UK time on Monday.

Norway

Norway are still on Cloud 9 after qualifying for the 2026 World Cup finals this summer. Stale Solbakken’s side won all eight of their qualifying games and will fancy their chances of doing well in the tournament.

The Red, White and Blue have been placed in Group I alongside France, Senegal and Iray and will fancy their chances of finishing runners-up.

After the friendly match against Sweden in Oslo on Monday, Norway will take on Morocco in Harrison, United States, before featuring in the World Cup.

Sweden

Like Norway, Sweden, too, have qualified for the 2026 World Cup finals this summer. The Blue and Yellow are a major footballing nation and will be determined to make an impact in the tournament.

Graham Potter’s side have been placed in Group F alongside the Netherlands, Japan and Tunisia. Sweden will fancy their chances of winning the group.

Sweden won both their international matches in March, beating Ukraine 3-1 in Valencia and Poland 3-2 in Solna. After playing against Norway in Oslo, Sweden will face Greece in Solna in another friendly international.
