Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has shared her thoughts on the ongoing Premier League title race between Manchester City and Arsenal, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 2025-26 Premier League title race has taken another dramatic turn as the season heads into its final stretch, with the Gunners’ lead at the top now down to only three points following their 2-1 defeat to City in Sunday’s top-of-the-table clash, with Pep Guardiola’s side still holding a game in hand.

Before the international break, the North London club were sitting comfortable at the top with a nine-point lead and seemed destined to end their 22-year wait for the title. However, back-to-back defeats, including the loss to City, have now thrown the race wide open.

It was an intense encounter on Sunday, with Rayan Cherki firing City ahead before a costly error from Gianluigi Donnarumma allowed Kai Havertz to quickly pull Arsenal level.

However, Erling Haaland had the final say, scoring the decisive goal in the second half to hand the Cityzens a crucial victory and they could now go top of the table if they win their outstanding game against Burnley on Wednesday.

The Premier League has produced dramatic title races in recent years, including Manchester City’s remarkable last-day triumph over Manchester United in the 2011–12 season.

This season is already following that pattern, especially with only three points and a slender goal difference separating the top two sides heading into the final stretch of the campaign.

Reflecting on the situation on her X Handle, Asisat Oshoala believes the title race is far from over and pointed out that anything can still happen in the closing weeks of the season.

The Nigerian forward believes that Manchester City could make mistakes and still drop points, which also keeps Arsenal firmly in contention.

I have a feeling Man City will make mistake again and Arsenal will end up winning the league #EPL

Despite Oshoala’s latest remarks which would have given Arsenal supporters belief, it is very clear that the Premier League is once again heading for a dramatic finish, with the possibility of the title being decided on the final day.
