Zeki çelik Follows in Totti’s Footsteps; He’s Becoming an AS Roma Legend

Soccer National team soccer player Zeki Çelik has re-signed with AS Roma, where he has played for the past four seasons. Contract negotiations, which had been ongoing for some time, have concluded, and the deal has been signed. An official announcement from the Serie A club is expected.

National team soccer player Zeki Çelik, whose contract with Serie A club AS Roma expired on June 30, making him a free agent, has decided to continue his career with the Italian powerhouse. The 29-year-old right back, who joined AS Roma four seasons ago, has signed a new contract.

Fabrizio Romano announced that the new deal has been finalized and an official announcement will be made shortly. AS Roma has also managed to retain Argentine forward Paulo Dybala on the roster.

THEY WILL PLAY IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

The capital club, which appointed Gian Piero Gasperini as head coach, finished the Serie A season in third place and secured a direct spot in the UEFA Champions League. Zeki Çelik, who is competing in the 2026 World Cup with the Turkish national team, is expected to return to Rome after his vacation to attend the signing ceremony.

Zeki Çelik, who has been a consistent presence for Roma since his summer 2022 transfer from France’s Lille for 7.4 million euros (including bonuses), has managed to impress every head coach who has come through the doors. The national team player appeared in 45 matches for Roma last season, contributing 1 goal and 4 assists.
