Bitget’s RWA Index Perpetuals: A First in the Industry

The new product offered by Bitget provides a derivatives model that is built using tokenized real-life shares, where traders can predict the performance within the major equities without going out of the crypto ecosystem once.

Compared to the other crypto perpetual contracts pegged to digital currencies such as BTC or ETH, these RWA Index Perpetuals are secured by tokens of existing real-world firms. First, these are:

  • Tesla (TSLA/USDT RWA)
  • Nvidia (NVDA/USDT RWA)
  • Circle (CRCL/USDT RWA)

Each contract is based on a composite index made up of tokenized assets issued by multiple third-party platforms. At launch, the data is sourced from xStocks, a trusted provider of tokenized equities. This structure eliminates the possibility that the prices will rely on the individual issuer: it increases fairness and accuracy.

How RWA Perpetual Contracts Work

Familiar Trading Mechanics for Crypto Users

Bitget has provided that the trading experience also reflects current crypto perpetuals. The result is that users can:

  • Trade with up to 10x leverage
  • Use isolated margin only
  • Expect the same funding fee structure and liquidation model

By replicating crypto derivatives logic, Bitget has lowered the learning curve for users while opening access to new asset classes.

RWA Index Perpetuals have a 5×24 schedule, rather than 24×7, as do traditional crypto markets, and are stopped on weekends and during stock market holidays.

During these closures:

  • Market prices freeze, no liquidations occur
  • Users can still cancel orders or add margin
  • Funding fees are paused
  • Hourly settlement resumes once markets reopen

This system will imitate the classical finance activities in accordance with the plasticity of crypto landscapes.

Dynamic Pricing: Multi-Issuer Index Model

RWA Index is not dependent on any single pricing source. Instead, it draws from multiple token issuers, and Bitget may update the composition dynamically based on:

  • Liquidity conditions
  • Market activity
  • Trading volume
