Zavier Gozo’s rapid rise in Major League Soccer has led to a new, exciting move to the English Premier League.
Gozo has officially joined South London side Crystal Palace from Real Salt Lake, both clubs announced Tuesday. Real Salt Lake is set to receive close to $15 million for Gozo and the talented attacker has signed a five-year contract with his new club.
“It is great to welcome such an exciting young talent to Crystal Palace Football Club,” club chairman Steve Parish said. “I am looking forward to seeing what Zavier can achieve with us during his time in South London.”
Gozo made his MLS debut back in 2023 and has since been a key player for RSL over the past two years. The dynamic attacker has contributed six goals and five assists in 16 appearances under Pablo Mastroeni this season.
His stellar play in 2026 earned him a nod to the MLS All-Star Game in July.
“I’m really looking forward to playing in the Premier League with Crystal Palace,” Gozo said. “It’s the dream of any footballer. I’m excited by the people and the project they have going on here. I’ve seen a lot of it, and that’s what excites me about this club as well: the success that they’ve had.”
Gozo has continued to work his way up through the U.S. youth national team ranks and is a top prospect for Mauricio Pochettino this fall. He’s earned 27 caps to date between multiple youth national teams, with three of those coming for the USMNT U-23’s.
A move to Crystal Palace teams Gozo up with USMNT defender Chris Richards, who looks to remain a key starter under new manager Pierre Sage.
The Eagles begin their EPL campaign on Saturday at Everton.
