St. Louis at Sierra Canyon Live Score Updates: California and Hawaii High School Football

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — The Sierra Canyon Trailblazers routed the Saint Louis Crusaders of Hawaii Thursday night in a game that was called early after a player from the visitors suffered a serious injury with 6:41 left in the third quarter.

Sierra Canyon was leading 52-0 at the time, and following a delay that lasted most of an hour to tend to the injured player, both coaches agreed to end the game early.

It was a tough night all around for the proud Crusaders’ program that is enduring one of the worst stretches in its history. The Hawaiians have not scored a point in a game since scoring a fourth-quarter touchdown at Kahuku in the season opener on August 8. They’ve now lost three straight games in blowout fashion by a cumulative score of 135-0, and they’re scoreless streak stretches over nearly 11 quarters now.

It was a tough end to a week-long trip to the continent for a Crusaders team that played IMG Academy of Florida last weekend in Mission Viejo, Calif. — a game they lost 41-0. They return home with yet another difficult game on tap as national Top 10 powerhouse St. John Bosco of California will be in Honolulu next Saturday to pay a visit.

Sierra Canyon, meanwhile, will be at home again next Friday against Orange Lutheran.

THIRD QUARTER/FINAL — Sierra Canyon 52, Saint Louis 0

We’ve been delayed maybe as long as 45 minutes or so, and they’re finally wheeling the young player off the field. We won’t speculate on an injury, but it’s the kind that required stabilization on the field. Both coaches agreed to end the game there with 6:41 showing on the clock in the third quarter. Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured young man who plays for Saint Louis. A tough scene in Chatsworth, Calif., tonight as Sierra Canyon gets the win.

We are still in a delay. I would guess we’re approaching a half or so. No word on whether they’ll continue the game or not.

We can’t see who’s down, but the game has been stopped for probably around 15 minutes now so it appears to be very serious.

Goodness. The third pick six of the third quarter, this one covering 90 yards. This Crusaders squad is hurting.

Nothing is working for Saint Louis. After their backup threw a pick six, they went to their QB3, and he throws a pick six. It’s 45-0, Sierra Canyon in a rout.

Sierra Canyon with another interference penalty to give Saint Louis another first down. Penalties are one of the only problems the Trailblazers are consistently struggling with. Crusaders on the move, but a sack of the quarterback just now makes it 2nd-and-16 approaching midfield.

Saint Louis goes to its third quarterback of the night, and he promptly throws a pick as well. It’s nullified by a penalty, however, and Saint Louis gets a new set of downs.

Still 88 degrees in Chatsworth so you’d expect these two teams will get some younger kids in for snaps with the game out of reach.

Saint Louis turns to a new quarterback in the second half, and on his first pass, he’s picked off. It’s Williams with a pick six to the house for the Trailblazers who now lead 38-0.

About to get the second half under way. Saint Louis enters the second half on a 10-quarter scoreless streak dating back to August 8 against Kahuku. The Crusaders get the ball first in the second half, and while a win feels out of reach, just scoring some points would be a big win for this proud program.

HALFTIME — Sierra Canyon 31, Saint Louis 0

Saint Louis had a productive drive end in side Sierra Canyon’s 20, but they’re unable to cash in. That’s where the half is going to end. It’s been all Trailblazers on a hot evening in Chatsworth.

One play later, Sierra Canyon strikes again, and it’s 31-0. It’s not getting any better for the Crusaders.

Every little victory makes a difference when you’re struggling the way Saint Louis is. And after giving up the big pass play, the Crusaders’ defense stiffens up and keeps the Trailblazers out of the end zone. Sierra Canyon settles for a field goal instead.

About 10 to play in the first half. Saint Louis forced to punt again, and Sierra Canyon will set up shop on its own 35.

Saint Louis has now been outscored 104-0 since the end of the Kahuku game on August 8. This is a program that produced a Heisman Trophy winner in Marcus Mariota and a Heisman runner-up in Tua Tagovailoa. They are the all-time kings of Hawaii football, but they are going through a brutal stretch in their history right now.

One quarter is in the books, and it’s not a good one for Saint Louis. They’ve now gone nine quarters without scoring dating back to the fourth quarter of the Kahuku game … on August 8.

3:29 to play in the first quarter, and the Trailblazers will start their third drive on their own 38. Good field position already in command with a 14-0 lead.

Saint Louis drove to about midfield before they had to punt. The punt sailed over the punter’s head, and Sierra Canyon pounced on it deep in Crusaders’ territory. About halfway through the first quarter, the Trailblazers are in the red zone again.

Tough conditions in Chatsworth tonight. The temperature peaked at 101 degrees today, and it’s still 94 there inside an hour until kickoff. They’ll kick this one off under an Extreme Heat Warning that will continue through the first hour of the game. Honestly, it will be hot for the entirety of this one.

While Sierra Canyon has lived up to its national Top 10 street cred with wins over JSerra Catholic of California’s Trinity League and Florida powerhouse Chaminade-Madonna, St. Louis is reeling after an 0-3 start in the midst of, arguably, the most difficult three-game stretch of any team in the entire country.

The Crusaders are coming off back-to-back shutout losses, including a 41-0 loss to Florida’s IMG Academy with games against this consensus national Top 10 Sierra Canyon squad followed by a visit from another national Top 10 powerhouse in St. John Bosco next weekend back in the islands.

Without a win in one of these two games, the traditional Hawaiian kingpins will be off to one of the worst starts in the history of the program before even hitting league play.

Sierra Canyon, on the other hand, has looked pretty salty in their latest attempt to climb the national high school mountain in search of a national title. The Trailblazers have dominated their two worthy opponents by a combined score of 66-28 to open the 2026 season with another big game against another Trinity League power in Orange Lutheran next Friday.

The Trailblazers’ emergence as a force on the national scene has mad the program a talent magnet, and they enter this contest with a slew of high-profile senior FBS commits leading the way, including two four-star defensive linemen in Kasi Currie (Texas) and Marcus Fakatou (Ohio State) whose future college programs will do battle Saturday night in Austin, Texas.

Other standouts include safety Myles Baker (UCLA), cornerback Duvay Williams (Cal), and offensive linemen Tyson Siedman (San Diego State). Additional stars like running back Jaxsen Stokes, safety Faruq Muhammad, and offensive lineman Braydenn Mercer remain uncommitted while junior contributors include offensive lineman Lance Ciechanowski, wide receiver Christian Butler, and safety Mykel Ramos.

St. Louis has its share of future FBS performers as well, even if all the talent hasn’t gelled on the field, yet, in 2026. Among them are senior defensive lineman Stone Ah Quin and classmate TJ Alualu, both of whom remain uncommitted, but appear destined to play for major colleges when their prep careers conclude later this fall.
