Welcome to our weekly rundown of new music – featuring must-hear singles, statement-making EPs and albums and key tracks.
This week marks releases by two Mumbai metal favorites – Scribe putting out their first song in over a decade with “Sab Ka Bandhu” and Bhayanak Maut skewering corporate slavery in their anthemic style on “Severance.” Elsewhere, Goa artist Tsumyoki presents the cheery, buoyant “You & I,” the first track off his upcoming EP Afro Yoki and Kannada rapper Gubbi gathers friends like Aiyyo Shraddha and Sneaker Stories India to hype Bengaluru life on “Yerd Plate Dose.”
Pop artist Monali Thakur also presents a new side on “Piya/I Wanna” off her EP Butterflies, and Guwahati artist Rahul Rajkhowa starts a slow blues jam with “Stuck On You.”
