Megan Thee Stallion is back outside and she’s got a new era on the horizon. The Houston native teased unreleased music on social media on Tuesday (June 2), which appears to address her split from NBA star Klay Thompson.

“All that wifey s–t is dead/ Put that to bed/ I’ma make ’em beg when I want some head,” she raps over the thumping Memphis-influenced production.

The accompanying visual for the single finds Megan driving the boat and enjoying a day on the water with her friends. There’s plenty of twerking and partying going on during the girls trip, as they take turns sipping and throwing back shots on the yacht.

“Let me drive the boat,” Cardi B wrote in the Meg’s comments section, seemingly searching for what happened to her invite.

“SHE BACK,” Monaleo added.

Some fans online felt this was Megan’s statement that she’s ready to have a Hot Girl Summer and enjoy the single life for a bit after breaking up with Thompson after less than a year of dating.

“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” Megan said in a statement to Billboard in April. “Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”

Megan Thee Stallion’s most recent album arrived with her self-titled Megan in 2024, which was her first release through her distribution deal with Warner Music Group. The LP debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 64,000 total album-equivalent units, according to Luminate.
