Super Eagles forward Femi Azeez has made a decision on his future at Millwall as interest continues to grow ahead of a potential summer transfer, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Nigerian winger enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with the Lions last season, playing a key role in their push for promotion. Although Millwall ultimately fell short of securing a place in the Premier League, Azeez’s performances throughout the campaign firmly established him as one of the Championship’s standout players.

The 25-year-old finished the campaign with 11 goals and seven assists, earning a deserved place in the PFA Championship Team of the Season after consistently delivering for his side.

His impressive club form also earned him recognition at international level. Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle handed Azeez his senior debut, and the winger immediately made his mark by scoring twice in Nigeria’s 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe in the Unity Cup. He then registered an assist in the final against Jamaica, strengthening his case for a regular place in the national team.

With his stock continuing to rise, speculation over his future has intensified, with several Premier League clubs reportedly monitoring his situation.

Soccer Femi Azeez open to Premier League move

According to Footy-Africa, Azeez is keen on making the step up to the Premier League this summer.

Sources close to the 25-year-old believes he has already proven himself in the Championship and is now ready to test himself with a move to the Premier League.

This comes as very little surprise considering his performances last season and he could have decided to remain at Millwall if they had secured promotion.

However, with that opportunity gone, Azeez is now eager to begin a new chapter and prove he can succeed on a bigger stage.

Soccer Which clubs want to sign the Super Eagles star?

With growing interest this summer, it may only be a matter of time before Azeez makes the step up to the Premier League with several clubs keeping tabs on his situation.

Aston Villa are very strong admirers of the Super Eagles forward and would be a perfect destination for the Super Eagles forward. Unai Emery is expected to strengthen his squad ahead of next season, with Villa looking to add quality and depth, especially if they lose key players during the transfer window.

Ipswich Town also remain in the race, although they have already seen an earlier bid rejected by Millwall. The newly promoted Premier League side are expected to return with an improved offer as they look to strengthen their squad and give themselves the best possible chance of avoiding an immediate return to the Championship.

Brighton & Hove Albion are another club that have built a reputation for recruiting and developing young talents and are very interested in Azeez who fits that profile. The Seagulls have already added Nigerian youngster Zadok Yohanna from Swedish club AIK, and another Nigerian arrival could soon follow.

Bournemouth have also been linked with the winger. The Cherries are expected to reinforce their squad this summer after losing several important players and Azeez is viewed internally at the club as a player capable of adding pace, creativity and quality to their attack.

If Millwall’s valuation is met, the Super Eagles winger could soon realize his ambition of playing in England’s top flight.
