Emma Hayes has been forced into a roster change in her June U.S. women’s national team roster.
Goalkeeper Jane Campbell has replaced Phallon Tullis-Joyce in the squad, U.S. Soccer announced Monday. Tullis-Joyce was ruled out due to an injury suffered during the World Sevens Football tournament in London.
The Manchester United shot-stopper enjoyed her most productive season yet, registering 17 clean sheets in 38 appearances for the Red Devils. However, despite Tullis-Joyce’s best efforts, Man United failed to seal a return to the UEFA Women’s Champions League after finishing fourth in the WSL standings.
Campbell has earned 10 USWNT caps to date and was part of the April roster for a trio of friendlies against Japan, although she did not feature in any of the matches.
The 31-year-old has been a consistent player in the NWSL with the Houston Dash, making 167 appearances for the club. She was the NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year in 2023 and was also named to the league’s Best XI in the same season.
Campbell joins Mandy McGlynn and Claudia Dickey in the USWNT goalkeeping ranks for this month’s camp.
The USWNT will face Brazil on June 6 in São Paulo and on June 9 in Fortaleza.
