BETTIS RESPONDS TO TAYLOR SWIFT
Jerome Bettis is a Steelers legend, and his final season was one of the best stories in NFL history. While Bettis didn’t start with the Steelers, he felt like he always belonged there. Nicknamed “The Bus,” Bettis’ unique frame for the position made him a fan favorite in Pittsburgh.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce recently shared his fiancée Taylor Swift’s reaction to watching Bettis’ highlights. She wondered why he looked like an offensive lineman. Bettis recently responded to Swift’s comments, as shared in a video on Danielle McCartan’s YouTube channel. He laughed them off, appreciating that she took the time to watch some of his best plays.
STEELERS LUCHA LIBRE
The Steelers have one of the biggest fan bases in the NFL. That becomes obvious when they travel for road games, with Steelers fans frequently taking over opposing stadiums. However, their reach isn’t limited to the United States of America. The Steelers have a lot of international fans, too.
That includes plenty of fans from Mexico. Former Steelers center Dermontti Dawson and current Steelers safety Sebastian Castro recently traveled to the country for a team event. The Steelers shared a video of Dawson and Castro appearing at a lucha libre match, both in traditional lucha masks.
PLAYERS AT FLAG FOOTBALL EVENT
The NFL continues to expand its reach overseas. The Steelers are playing in an international game for the second year in a row. They traveled to Ireland last year, and this year, they’re going to Paris. There are also rumors that they could play in Mexico in the near future.
Dermontti Dawson and Sebastian Castro recently went to Mexico to coach a young flag football game, as shared by Steelers en Español on Twitter. Castro is of Mexican descent, so this opportunity likely meant a lot to him. Hopefully, everyone who participated enjoyed themselves.
