Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce are expected to go all out to sign Tolu Arokodare from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window, Soccernet.ng reports.

Arokodare joined Premier League club Wolves from Genk last summer, but it has been a rough stay for him so far.

While he has managed four goals and one assist in his limited outings, his impact has been stifled by a struggling Wolves side that looks set for relegation to the English Championship.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles star has been heavily linked with a move to Super Lig giants Fenerbahce over the last few months.

The last time Fenerbahce won the league was in 2014, and their best results since then have been a series of close shaves.

As rivals Galatasaray and Besiktas have spent heavily in the transfer market over the past year, Fenerbahce have followed suit.

They have prioritized signing players with experience in Europe’s top leagues, and Arokodare is the latest name on their radar.

Soccer Why Fenerbahce Will Be Desperate To Sign Tolu Arokodare in The Summer

Fenerbahce are interested in signing Tolu Arokodare because they want to provide a significant boost to their final third.

Furthermore, the club is set to lose their top two strikers in June. According to a new report by Nicolo Schira, they are prepared to sell Youssef En-Nesyri to Al Ittihad in the coming days.

Additionally, A Spor reports that Jhon Durán will leave for Zenit St. Petersburg before the close of the Russian transfer market.

With these two strikers departing, the Yellow Canaries will be desperate for a replacement. Since Arokodare has been on their radar for several months, they are likely to push hard for a deal next summer.

Wolves will likely be willing to sell the Super Eagles star, as the club will need to downsize their squad and wage bill if they are relegated.

Consequently, they will be open to doing business if Fenerbahce submit a suitable offer. Arokodare has just over three years left on his contract and is currently valued at €22 million on Transfermarkt. However, Wolves are expected to ask for a higher bid.
