Louisiana Tech RB Andrew Burnette Is Built for the Moment

Andrew Burnette’s football journey has never followed a straight line—but every stop along the way has shaped him into the running back he is today.

A Treasure Coast native and Jensen Beach High School Class of 2021 alum, Burnette built his game on resilience, patience, and production. His path to the Division I level took him through multiple programs, each chapter adding a layer to his growth both on and off the field.

Burnette began his collegiate career in 2021 at Highland Community College, where he adapted quickly to the speed and physicality of the college game. The following season, he continued his development at Independence Community College (2022), gaining valuable experience and sharpening his vision, burst, and toughness between the tackles.

That foundation paid off when Burnette transferred to Keiser University ahead of the 2023 season.

Over the next two years, Burnette made the most of his opportunity, becoming an integral piece of one of the most dominant programs in NAIA football. He played a key role in Keiser’s national championship runs in both 2023 and 2024, contributing to an offense built on balance, physicality, and execution. Whether carrying the load in critical moments or providing a steady presence in the backfield, Burnette consistently answered the call.

His impact extended beyond statistics. Burnette brought maturity, experience, and a team-first mentality to the Seahawks’ locker room—traits forged through a journey that demanded adaptability and perseverance.

Now, as he takes the next step in his career as a Louisiana Tech running back, Burnette arrives with championship pedigree and a proven track record of maximizing every opportunity. His road may have been unconventional, but it has prepared him for what lies ahead: competing at the highest level, embracing the grind, and continuing to prove that his best football is still in front of
