What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

What made me want to be a football player is seeing my dad and brother play. My dad Ernest Dye got drafted to the Arizona Cardinals in the 1993 in the 1st round and my brother Ernest Dye Jr played in high school and for the same school I play for Southern Illinois so I come from a football family.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My favorite moments from my football life are winning the state championship at Milton high school located in Milton, Georgia everyone thought we were going to lose except us as a team. My other moment have to be getting my first scholarship to play D1 football it was from Southern Illinois the same school I play at now and Coach Hill offered me my same head coach now. This led to multiple offers and bigger offers down the road.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

What I’m looking to achieve as a football player going forward is getting a opportunity at the next level I already know what I can do and people know what I can do but it doesn’t mean anything if I can’t get a shot at the next level and show those coaches what I can do.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

If I could hang out with a football player past or present for the day it would have to be Trent Williams because he is one of the top lineman in the NFL so he could teach me a lot and he seems pretty cool off the field.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

Everyone in my family inspires me to be great on and off the field growing up my parents made sure my grades were good and that helped me as I grew and got older. My dad has played at the highest level so he inspires me a lot because he knows how the NFL works and the real world.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

My favorite schemes are power and outside zone I like these because power is something every team runs and most of the time it works and outside zone is good because when you block everything right it’s just a 1 on 1 between the RB and DB.

What should we know about Cameron Dye the person?

What you should know about me as a person is that I am a chill person I like to hang with family, friends and play my game outside of football I do a lot of streaming on games like 2k, Call of duty and more I have been doing that since I was in high school I have a pretty decent following on those platforms so a lot of people know who I am.

What stands out about your film the most?

What stands out about my film the most is my quickness. My feet are quick in pass protection and it allows me get my defender to the post before he even works his move and that’s a reason why I was locking the top pass rushers down in the conference.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

How I handle challenges on and off the field is pushing through them I never complain about anything I just do what I am told to do  and work hard everyday.

What would a team get in a player like you?

What a team would get with a player like me is coming to the facility working hard everyday. I am the type of player that doesn’t really say much I just come in and work and make sure I know what I am doing.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

What I love the most about the game of football is playing with my teammates everyday at SIU we were a tight group doing sprints in the summer time we would make sure we find a way in enjoying the hard times like lifting heavy weights and running hard.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

The most underrated player I played with is Vinsion Davis he is a WR I played with at Southern Illinois every time I’m blocking and I look up he has the ball in his hands making people miss all the time and getting yards after the catch.
