GCS Glass Introduces High-End Glass Railing Systems to Long Island

HOLBROOK, N.Y., July 13, 2026 — GCS Glass & Mirror is introducing custom frameless glass railing systems for homeowners and businesses on Long Island, with each system designed, measured and installed from the company’s Holbrook location.

The frameless glass railings Long Island systems are made for interior and exterior settings, including deck railings, stair railings and pool fences. According to the company, glass railings provide unobstructed views, modern aesthetics and enhanced safety, and can open up a space while giving a classic, clean look that is more inviting and spacious.

Railings can be built from 1/2-inch tempered glass, which uses a top cap for stability, or 9/16-inch laminated tempered glass, which allows a frameless look without additional support structures. Glass clarity options include standard clear glass, Starphire Ultra Clear glass for unobstructed views, and Satin Etch frosted glass for added privacy.

Hardware options include base shoes, glass vice clamps and glass stand-offs, available in finishes such as brushed stainless, polished stainless, matte black and custom powder coating. Stand-offs can create a floating glass effect, while base shoes and vice clamps hold panels for deck, stair and pool layouts.

For outdoor spaces such as glass balconies in Long Island homes, the tempered glass is designed to shatter into small, blunt pieces rather than sharp shards, reducing the risk of injury. GCS Glass installs only materials with ICC reports documented for safety standards, and designs each system to comply with local building codes.

“Glass railings open up a space and let a room feel more inviting,” said Brandon Nicastro of GCS Glass & Mirror. “Because every system is measured and built to fit the property, the finished railing matches the home the way the homeowner pictured it, whether it’s a staircase, a deck or a pool surround.”

The installation process begins with a consultation, followed by precise measurements and a detailed estimate. After the glass is fabricated, the installation team completes the work at the property. GCS Glass provides tailored solutions for both residential and commercial railings.

The railing systems are among the custom glass services offered by GCS Glass on Long Island, which operates from 1347 Lincoln Ave., Unit 7, in Holbrook. The company notes that glass railings can match and elevate modern architectural styles and add value to a property.
