Akil Campbell and Alexi Ramirez were crowned Trinidad and Tobago Cycling Federation (TTCF) National road race champions on Sunday.
The TTCF’s National Time Trial and Road Race Championships concluded over the weekend, with Campbell completing the 155.17 kilometre route from Couva through Caroni, Debe, Point Fortin, and back to Couva, in three hours, 45 minutes, 10.21 seconds to clinch the Elite Male division title.
Campbell finished ahead of Raiders Cycle & Multi-Sport’s Jadian Neaves and USA-based Liam Trepte (Team BSR). Tariq Woods (Evolution Cycling Academy) placed fourth.

In the Elite Female division, Ramirez proved unstoppable in the road race, finishing in a time of 4:20:39.79.
Neaves (Raiders Cycle and Multi Sport) won the Under-23 male division in 3:46:13.95, while Dave Cooper (Titans Cycle and Multi Sport) was the second to finish in this category. Josiah Williams (Valkyries CC) did not finish.
Trishton Jaichan (PSL) was crowned Junior Male champion with a time of 4:32:41, finishing ahead of Sequan Samaroo. Marcus Lockett (Madonna Wheelers) did not finish the race.
In the Elite Male time trial at Tamana In-teck Park on Saturday, Trepte took top honours in 49:37, narrowly edging out Campbell (49:51) and Tariq Woods (51:09). Neaves placed fourth in the 20-lap 36km event in 54.47
Jaichan was also crowned national champion in the Junior Male time trial (25.2km—14 laps) in a time of 43.15. Lockett was second in 45.49 and Jaden Alexander was third in 51.17.
Cassidy Samaroo (Madonna Wheelers CC) won the Junior Female title, finishing the 12.6 km course in 4:57.
In the Under-23 Division time trial, Neaves was crowned national Male champion while Ashleigh Thomas (The Braves CC) took the female crown.
Thomas finished the 25.2 km race (14 laps) in 46:26. The Under-23 race was a 36km course (20 laps) and Neaves clocked 54.47.
Cooper (55:43) and Williams (1:01) were second and third respectively.
