Wait, WHAT!? Beyoncé Hit With Cease-And-Desist By Las Vegas Company Over ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tour Visuals (VIDEO)

Entertainment

Days after kicking off her ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour, Beyoncé received a cease-and-desist letter from Sphere owner James L. Dolan. He’s made some strong accusations against the singer for allegedly using the arena’s likeness in her shows. Dolan, the executive chairman and CEO of Sphere Entertainment, sent a legal letter to Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment on May 1, 2025.

Here’s Why Beyoncé Received A Cease-and-Desist

According to the New York Post, Dolan demanded that she remove a tour interlude video featuring the iconic Las Vegas venue. The concert footage, which has been circulating on social media since the start of the tour, shows a giant version of Beyoncé picking up the Sphere and looming over it. She then picks it up and drops a slight smile before the scene cuts to another shot.

No one talking about why she picked up the sphere in vegas ???????? something gonna happen have mercy ???????? pic.twitter.com/wm97sKK1ef

The problem is, Sphere says Bey didn’t get permission before including the video in her tour, calling it “unauthorized use of intellectual property.” The clip is part of the footage fans watch at her shows, but Dolan’s team isn’t playing, insisting it’s their property and Bey’s gotta cut it. If she refuses to cooperate with their request, the company “reserves all rights to take further action as SEG deems appropriate without notice.”

Beyoncé Celebrates Mama Tina Hitting The Best-Seller List With Her Memoir

While the legal tea brews, Beyoncé’s keeping it all love on stage. On May 1, 2025, during her second ‘Cowboy Carter’ show at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, Bey brought out Tina Knowles to celebrate her memoir ‘Matriarch’ hitting No. 1 on the New York Times Best Seller list. With her daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter by her side, Bey had the crowd chanting, “Congratulations, Mama T!”

Mama Tina stole the show, looking snatched in a sparkly gold dress. She blew kisses at the audience while Rumi excitedly hopped around her family. And Blue? She appeared to have her hands full, trying her best to keep her lil’ sister in check. Bey continued to praise her mother’s achievements with a post on IG, where she wrote, “The Mama T was that good?? Ha. You deserve it, I’m so proud!”
