Reviews for the Acer Swift Go 14 SFG14-71-785V

First Impressions: Acer Swift Go Review
Source: Trusted Reviews English
The Acer Swift Go may not look like an exciting laptop on the surface, but I’m very impressed that it’s packing an OLED display and high-performance processor at a very reasonable price. I’m worried about potential throttling issues, considering the power of the processor and the laptop’s slender design, but I can’t be sure about this until I can start benchmarking the laptop. Either way, this is certainly a laptop to keep an eye on in 2023.

Acer Swift 14 initial review: Slim, light and easy on the eye
Source: Pocket Lint English
At 14.95mm thick and weighing 1.2kg, the Swift 14 looks to be a great choice for design-conscious users who need portability on their side. However, we haven’t had chance to delve into its performance as yet, so whether the Swift 14 will come as highly recommended as its Swift 5 predecessor will have to wait for our full review. Prices will start from $1,299 in the US and €1,699 in Europe – we are awaiting UK pricing and will update this piece with them as soon as we can.

14.00″:

Above all, this display size is used for subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles. For all three types, this size is quite large. The biggest variety of subnotebooks is represented with this size.

Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.

» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

1.25 kg:

In former time,s this weight was typical for big tablets, small subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles with a 10-11 inch display-diagonal. Nowadays, often 15 inch laptops weigh as much.

The product range includes, for example, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, monitors and televisions. Gateway Inc. and Packard Bell also belong to the Group and sell their own laptops.

While Acer still had the third largest global market share in the notebook segment in 2008, it ranked 6th in 2016 with a market share of 6% after they had continuously lost market shares.

There are dozens of Acer laptop reviews per month, the ratings are average (as of 2016). Gateway, which has an own laptop line-up, has also belonged to the Acer Group since 2007.

80%: This rating is not convincing. The laptop is evaluated below average, this is not really a recommendation for purchase.
