Huawei’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the P60 Pro, has been captured in a new leak that purports to include an in-display selfie camera like that of the Dynamic Island of the latest iPhone Pro models. Should that be the case, the new feature could join up-to-date flat edges, some colorful side buttons and a unique camera hump in the upcoming premium-tier device.

Huawei has finally confirmed that it will bring its P series of high-end smartphones up to 60 later in March 2023. The OEM is currently touting these devices as handsets capable of truly “professional photography” and has, to this end, picked their large rear-mounted XMAGE branding out in red – according to their latest leak, that is.

The schematic in question also depicts the ‘P60 Pro’ as having upgraded to flat edges that house buttons in a matching color – and a large display that has a Dynamic Island look to it. Its long in-display pill is mounted along the screen’s top edge, like those of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, and seems to be made up of 2 different modules.

Then again, the tipster presenting this new image (Wangzai Knows Everything) walks it back somewhat in the text of a Weibo post hinting that Huawei has yet to commit to a switch to this “Smart Island” screen, and that some prototypes still have singular punch-holes.

Then again, the elaborate camera humps from earlier P60 leaks remains right in place in this new image, depicted as adding quite some girth to the alleged Pro variant.
