“The sound of a new love flowering…”

Bloc Party return with new single ‘Love Bombs’.
The band’s incoming album ‘Anatomy Of A Brief Romance’ was produced by legendary pop figure Trevor Horn, someone who helped to conceptualise modern synth pop.
Out on September 11th, much of the record deals with the body – it swells with attraction, lust, and the exposure that comes with putting yourself out there.
New single ‘Love Bombs’ is thrilling, the synth lines bolstering Kele Okereke’s urgent, pleading vocal.
“At the start of a new relationship our feelings of connection can make us do dramatic things,” explains Okereke. “‘Love Bombs’ is the sound of a new love flowering, in beautiful romantic gestures. But under the surface is the ever present fear that maybe this new love, although shiny and great, maybe this new love might not last forever.”
Leaning in to the continued electricity of their live sets – catch Bloc Party on a joint tour with Interpol later this year – ‘Love Bombs’ bristles with carnal energy.
“I want to cool you down / I want to rough you up / I want to crawl all over you, most of the time” Kele sings – check it out now.
