The official X for the Blade & Bastard anime revealed the main staff and a second teaser promotional video on Tuesday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2027.

The anime adapts Kumo Kagyuu‘s action fantasy light novel, which he launched under the DRE Novels imprint with illustrations by so-bin (Overlord) in December 2022. Drecom published the 6th volume on March 10.
J-Novel Club simulpublishes the novel digitally in English and has released the fifth volume in October 2025. The sixth volume will go on sale on September 8. Yen Press licensed the novel for physical release in English and shipped the fifth volume on May 12.
Makoto Fuugetsu began drawing a manga adaptation on the DRE Comic website in June 2023. The eighth volume was shipped on June 20.
Yen Press licensed the manga adaptation in April 2024 and published the fourth volume on June 23. The fifth volume is scheduled to be released on September 22.
