- Carlo Holse: St. Louis CITY’s new Designated Player has made three substitute appearances since being acquired in July from Turkish Süper Lig side Samsunspor.
- Simon Becher: The American striker is enjoying his best stretch, scoring three times over his last three matches to reach 5g/5a this year.
- Daniel Edelman: Acquired from Red Bull New York during the offseason, Edelman has quickly become a key piece of CITY’s midfield and chipped in 2g/3a.

St. Louis are the league’s hottest team, leaning on a collective effort under first-year head coach Yoann Damet. They’ve kept on humming, despite recent outgoing moves for star midfielders Marcel Hartel (transfer to Hannover 96) and Eduard Löwen (trade to San Jose Earthquakes).
After finishing with just 32 points in 2025, CITY have already surpassed that total and are on track for their first Audi MLS Cup Playoffs trip since their 2023 expansion campaign.
Even more, St. Louis could make further additions before the MLS Secondary Transfer Window closes on Sept. 2.

- Joaquín Valiente: With a team-best eight assists, Valiente has hit the ground running since arriving from Uruguayan top-flight side Defensor SC.
- Nolan Norris: The 21-year-old homegrown defender has enjoyed a breakout season for Dallas, starting a career-high 15 games.
- Logan Farrington: Farrington is FCD’s second-leading scorer with 10 goal contributions (6g/4a).
Need to know
If Dallas defeat St. Louis on the road, and other results fall their way, they could end the weekend third in the West. That would be good for a home playoff spot, putting FCD on pace to improve upon last year’s seventh-place finish.
After this weekend, head coach Eric Quill’s side has eight of their final 12 regular-season games at home. As Toyota Stadium renovations continue, Musa & Co. could be primed for a late-season surge.
St. Louis have commanded 49% of the market, a testament to their scorching form before hosting Dallas (27%) this weekend.
