Depot After Dark: Carr Recalls Fitzpatrick’s Mistake, Lee’s Football Camp, Ex-Steeler Leads Yoga Classes

A Steelers Depot daily segment. A quick hit of some Pittsburgh Steelers-related stories that may not require a complete article, but nuggets worth mentioning and passing on to you guys.

Your Depot After Dark for June 24.

CARR RECALLS FITZPATRICK’S MISTAKE

The Steelers have had plenty of great defenders in their history. One of their more recent playmakers was Minkah Fitzpatrick. The Steelers didn’t originally draft Fitzpatrick, but they acquired him via trade in 2019. While Fitzpatrick made a ton of plays during his time with the Steelers, he wasn’t perfect.

On his podcast, former NFL quarterback Derek Carr recently recalled a mistake Fitzpatrick made on the field. He mentions that he saw Fitzpatrick stop moving in coverage, which let him know he could attack downfield. Carr says he proceeded to throw a big touchdown. Fitzpatrick got the best of many quarterbacks, but on that play, Carr got the better of him.

LEE’S FOOTBALL CAMP

The Steelers drafted defensive lineman Logan Lee in the sixth round in 2024. Unfortunately, an injury forced Lee to miss his entire rookie season. He played in seven games last year, though. While he still didn’t make a huge impact, he made some plays, including a big batted pass against the Baltimore Ravens.

This is currently the quiet part of the NFL calendar, but Lee took some of his free time to help others. WQAD News 8 posted a video on YouTube talking about Lee hosting his first youth football camp in an area close to his hometown. There’s a quick interview with Lee talking about why he hosted the event, and even an interview with a young fan who attended the camp. It seemed like a huge success.

EX-STEELER LEADS YOGA CLASSES

Offensive lineman Mike Adams was selected by the Steelers in the second round of the 2012 draft. While they had high hopes for him, he struggled to catch on in Pittsburgh, parting ways with the team after only four seasons. He spent one more season with the Chicago Bears, but he was out of the NFL after the 2016 season.

Adams has remained active since leaving the NFL, though. WFMJ shared on YouTube that Adams is set to lead free yoga classes in Sharon, Pennsylvania. If any Steelers fans or yoga enthusiasts are in the area, perhaps they can check out Adams’ classes.
