Musician Kevin Bahati has shared his close bond with his son, Morgan Bahati, revealing a side of their father-son relationship that had not been widely known.

The family has been spending time together in the coast following school closure, with Bahati and his wife Diana, taking the opportunity to bond with their children during the holiday break.
During a cosy family sit-down, Morgan, who studies at the prestigious Lenana School, opened up about his past love life, including an incident where his father strongly opposed him having a girlfriend.

Morgan recalled that the disagreement escalated at the time, forcing him to end the relationship.
“He told me not to do it, and so I decided to do what was right. I told the girl that we could not continue,” he said, revealing that it was about 2 years ago.
The young celebrity noted that the breakup affected him emotionally, as both he and the girl struggled to move on from the separation.
“Imagine you feel that you love a person and then all of a sudden you are being forced to leave them, yet you know that your heart is with them,” he said.
He explained that despite his feelings, he eventually chose to respect his father’s decision and end the relationship. However, he has since found love in another girl.
On his part, Bahati acknowledged his earlier stance, admitting that he may have been too strict, and used the moment to offer advice on relationships, encouraging his son to focus on personal growth rather than chasing love.
I apologise to my son, but honestly, parents, did I do anything wrong? People are really opening up,” he said.
Diana supported the conversation, encouraging Morgan to always feel free to seek guidance from her.
