AWL Agri Business Ltd. reported double-digit volume growth for the quarter ended March 2026 led by strong performance in its core edible oils segment.

Volume for edible oils grew 17% year-on-year (YoY), making it the key growth driver during the period.

The company’s overall domestic business recorded a 13% YoY increase, even as the food and FMCG segment remained largely flat during the quarter.

Alternate channels also saw robust traction, with volumes rising 43% YoY. Within this, quick commerce emerged as a high-growth channel, registering a 46% YoY jump, reflecting increasing consumer preference for faster delivery formats.

The food and FMCG segment remained flat overall due to consolidation in rice exports. However, within the segment, the core rice and wheat businesses saw improved traction. Sales under the Fortune and Kohinoor brands posted volume growth exceeding 30% year-on-year.

AWL also expanded its distribution reach to 9.65 lakh outlets, supported by a continued push into rural markets. The company said the wider network and channel diversification helped sustain growth momentum across categories during the quarter.

Notably, much of the 1.2 lakh new outlets added during the year came from rural markets, which it expects to drive the next phase of growth.

Accordingly, AWL has strengthened rural reach, with presence across more than 60,000 villages and said it is ramping up sales through micro-fulfilment centres to improve servicing and delivery timelines in smaller towns.

Shares of AWL closed at 183.71 apiece on Thursday, April 2, down 0.59% for the day.
