SIS Expands Esports Gaming Content with Midnite Launch

Sports Information Services (SIS) has announced the launch of additional racing and esports gaming content with UK-based betting platform Midnite

SIS said that Midnite will now add its premium racing and Competitive Gaming content to its site, having previously integrated its live racing and events-based esports content.

Midnite now has access to SIS’s complete Competitive Gaming suite, which consists of over 225,000 H2H Global Gaming League™ eSoccer and eBasketball matches.

SIS claims its Competitive Gaming markets “are proven to add as much as 10% in value to basketball and soccer verticals on sportsbook platforms.”

Matt Smith, Customer Growth Manager at SIS, said: “We are proud to bring our 24/7 live racing and Competitive Gaming content to Midnite, a brand that aligns with our commitment to innovation and quality.

“This integration is a great example of how our high-margin, always-on portfolio can support the growth of ambitious operators and enhance the overall user experience.”

Last year, the company partnered with several operators, including Hard Rock Bet, Dafabet, Betfred, Novibet, Hollywood Bets, and Betway

Midnite Continues Esports Focus

Midnite launched in 2020 with an explicit focus on esports betting. Co-founder Nick Wright said that the platform is designed to offer a dedicated esports experience.

On the expansion of SIS’s offerings, Zach Amin, Vice President of Sportsbook at Midnite, said: “SIS live racing and H2H Global Gaming League™ offer an ideal fit for our platform and our players.”

“We are focused on building a top-tier sportsbook, and the ability to deliver engaging, round-the-clock betting opportunities plays a key role in that.”

In addition to the UK, the company has a strong presence in Brazil, which officially regulated esports betting in April last year.

Midnite Subjected To Tax Increases In Primary Markets

Both the UK and Brazil have recently raised taxes on gambling companies, with the UK set to introduce a rate of 25% for online sportsbooks from April next year, up from the current 15%.

Brazil, meanwhile, has approved a staged increase of its tax rate on betting platforms. The rate will increase from the current 12% to 13% this year before rising to 14% next year and 15% in 2028.

Companies have warned that the increases will drive users to unregulated platforms. Midnite hopes its focus on esports and expansion through SIS’s offerings will stave off any user exodus.
