iOS 18.1.1 Now Available in India: Check Eligible iPhone Models

Apple has rolled out the iOS 18.1.1 update for iPhone users in India and all other markets. iOS 18.1.1 is a minor update that brings security patches for the iPhone. While Apple has not specified what vulnerabilities it has patched with the new update, the official changelog for iOS 18.1.1 says the update brings “important security fixes.”

Since the iOS 18.1.1 update focuses only iPhone’s security, it does not bring any new features or improvements. Apple is saving all the new features for iOS 18.2, which is expected in December.

Installing the latest iOS update is quite simple. Users with eligible iPhone models can head to Settings, followed by a tap on General and then on Software Update. Should an update become available for the iPhone, it will automatically show up on the screen. Users now need to tap the Download & Install button to start downloading the update and install it.

In other news, Apple is planning to roll out the next major update to the iPhone with iOS 18.2. While iOS 18.1 introduced Apple Intelligence and a redesigned Siri, the next iOS 18 update will expand Apple’s AI capabilities to include ChatGPT integration and Visual Search that will leverage the new Camera Control button on the iPhone 16 series and iPhone 16 Pro lineups. It will also introduce other iOS 18 features, such as Image Playground, which will allow users to create images through text prompts, Genmoji, which will let users generate emojis from photos, and a redesigned Mail app.
