Huawei’s upcoming P60 series of premium smartphones is expected to land with rear camera upgrades that might bring them closer to the top-end Mate 50 series than their P50 predecessors. Now, these shooters are now also projected to come in with a camera hump update as well. There is also talk of new and faster charging in this generation.

The P60, P60 Pro and/or “Ultra” are said to launch with all the mobile camera upgrades Huawei can throw at them – a variable aperture system included, according to the latest leaks. The advanced module pioneered in the DxOMark-smashing Mate 50 series is tipped to be joined by high-end Sony sensors in one or more of the P50 series‘ successors.

These shooters may also be in line for a camera hump update. A P60 Pro “test device” allegedly captured in a candid desk shot still has angel-eye lens covers, although they are depicted as having dropped the goggles-like P50 Pro look for a plain raised glass background.

It is finished in white, as is the rest of the rear panel shown in this photo, thereby suggesting that the P60 Pro will be offered in this colorway on launch. Then again, this live image may have recently been recanted by its original source, the leaker Wangzai Knows Everything.

Then again, according to the same tipster, the P60 line may still be overshadowed by the “thin and lightMate X3 foldable, thanks to the addition of a periscope lens to that top-end device. Nevertheless, both type of device is now slated to be in line to debut with Huawei’s latest charging technology, which would represent a flagship spec bump from 66W to a new custom 88W rate.
