Cowboys running back Jaydon Blue said in June that he \u201cdidn\u2019t start off<\/a><\/span> like I should have\u201d as a rookie last year, but that he felt ready to contribute to the Cowboys in 2026. <\/p>\n

The Cowboys decided that they don\u2019t agree with that assessment. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that they are waiving<\/a><\/span> the 2025 fifth-round pick as part of Sunday\u2019s moves to set a 53-man roster. <\/p>\n

Blue had 38 carries for 129 yards and a touchdown in five appearances for the team<\/a><\/span> last season. <\/p>\n

Reports on Sunday also indicate that the Cowboys are waiving Phil Mafah, which would leave the Cowboys without the two backs behind Javonte Williams on their depth chart.
