Navy Blue<\/a> questioned who he is and how his past selves have informed that identity on Sir Render<\/em><\/a>, his album that dropped earlier in June. Now he\u2019s bringing that sentiment to life in a new music video for the title track. In it, a preteen discovers a suit of armor made out of boxes and embarks on a quest through massive cardboard castles on a theater stage. As it turns out, a sparse audience of lonely attendees have no idea what\u2019s going on behind the red curtain until a curious Navy Blue opens them, delighting all involved. Watch the video below.<\/p>\n Directed by Ahab Mullick<\/a>, the video for \u201cSir Render\u201d directly reflects the song\u2019s themes of self-examination, perseverance, and transformation as seen through both the child\u2019s eyes and those of the isolated theatergoers. As Navy Blue puts it on one verse, \u201cThis what livin\u2019 life for, I call it what it is\u2026 To th\u0435 next man who carry all his fears to the cliff, let it fly.\u201d<\/p>\n Sir Render<\/em> functions as a prequel to Navy Blue\u2019s previous two LPs, 2024\u2019s Memoirs in Armour<\/em><\/a>, and 2025\u2019s The Sword & the Soaring<\/em><\/a>, forming a trilogy after Def Jam cut him from their roster. Joining the rapper on his new album are Earl Sweatshirt, Armand Hammer, Mike Shabb, and his mentor Ka with a posthumous verse.
