The initiative is designed to boost fan engagement beyond matchdays while creating a new revenue stream for the football club.<\/p>\n<p>Winvia, which also operates a number of Romanian brands, <a href=\"https:\/\/igamingbusiness.com\/strategy\/winvia-lists-on-london-stock-exchange\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">listed on the London Stock Exchange <\/a>in November 2025. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.londonstockexchange.com\/discover\/news-and-insights\/london-stock-exchange-welcomes-winvia-entertainment-plc-aim\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0It commenced trading<\/a>\u00a0on AIM, a sub-market of the LSE which is tailored to help smaller, riskier, or\u00a0high-growth companies secure capital.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h-potential-to-scale\">\u2018Potential to scale\u2019<\/h3>\n<p>Winvia has highlighted that this represents the first major B2B deployment of its BOTB prize-draw system. The company will oversee operational, technical and compliance activities, running the competition in accordance with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/voluntary-code-of-good-practice-for-prize-draw-operators\/voluntary-code-of-good-practice-for-prize-draw-operators#context\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Gil Barel, head of strategic partnerships and M&#038;A of Winvia Entertainment, commented: \u201cAston Villa has a powerful brand and a highly engaged supporter base and has recognised the opportunity for prize draws to bring supporters together in a fun and engaging way.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to be working with the club to launch a new prize draw competition supported by our technology platform, operational capability and prize draw expertise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are confident that this model has the potential to scale across other clubs and sports organisations and become an increasingly important part of the group\u2019s long-term growth strategy over time.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h-future-plans\">Future plans<\/h3>\n<p>Winvia will initially roll out the \u201cVilla Win\u201d prize draws to Aston Villa supporters in the UK, with ambitions to expand internationally.<\/p>\n<p>The company will manage the competition\u2019s ongoing operations. Both parties have stated that the revenue generated will contribute to the club\u2019s long-term development and community programmes.<\/p>\n<p>Winvia indicated that the partner-led deployment model is expected to become a significant component of its strategy following its recent IPO.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h-revenues-generated-can-be-reinvested-nbsp\">Revenues generated can be reinvested\u00a0<\/h3>\n<p>Aston Villa has positioned the arrangement as a means to generate \u201cmore fan engagement opportunities\u201d and create additional funds to reinvest in club activities, including community programmes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Francesco Calvo, the club\u2019s president of business operations, described the prize draws as a fresh avenue for interacting with supporters and supporting community initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will not only allow us to interact with our supporters in a fun and different way, but any revenues generated can be reinvested in a number of ways including our many community schemes.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h-prize-draw-trends\">Prize draw trends<\/h3>\n<p>The deal marks the prize draw vertical\u2019s expansion into new areas, including sports.
