Music superstar Naledi Aphiwe reflected on her mother\u2019s memories after visiting her gravesite on 8 June. She took to Instagram and shared a series of photos taken at her mother\u2019s resting place.<\/p>\n
Naledi\u2019s mother, Gugu Khumalo, sadly passed away in August 2022 at the age of 50. In 2025 Mawhoo\u2019s sister Amahle made startling allegations that Naledi had a hand in her mother\u2019s passing.<\/a><\/p>\n Naledi began her caption by expressing that visiting her mother\u2019s grave reminded her just how much she missed her, evoking many fond memories.<\/p>\n \u201cYesterday was your birthday, Mom, and today I came to visit you. Standing here brings back so many memories, and it reminds me just how much I miss you.\u201d<\/p>\n She also opened up about how she is coping with her absence, yearning for a heartfelt conversation or a cozy \u201cwarm hug.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThere are days when I try to be strong, but the truth is that a part of my heart left with you. I wish I could sit with you one more time, hear your voice, tell you about my day, and get one of your warm hugs,\u201d she added.\u00a0<\/p>\n In her lengthy and emotional caption, the Ngiyabonga<\/em> hitmaker wrote that she has been working hard to make her mother proud.<\/p>\n \u201cLife has changed so much, Mom. I\u2019ve been working hard, pushing through challenges, and trying to make you proud every single day,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cI secured the bag, Mom. I landed big deals with Stumbo, and all I wanted was to tell you first,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n The higher she goes in her career, the more she feels the pinch of her mother\u2019s absence.
