{"id":923599,"date":"2026-07-30T09:14:12","date_gmt":"2026-07-30T14:14:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2026\/07\/30\/zulum-woos-investors-assures-support-for-pharmaceutical-industry\/"},"modified":"2026-07-30T09:14:12","modified_gmt":"2026-07-30T14:14:12","slug":"zulum-woos-investors-assures-support-for-pharmaceutical-industry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2026\/07\/30\/zulum-woos-investors-assures-support-for-pharmaceutical-industry\/","title":{"rendered":"Zulum woos investors, assures support for pharmaceutical industry"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalaccordnewspaper.com\/zulum-approves-2-new-community-schools-in-biu-upgrades-general-hospital-to-specialist\/\">Zulum<\/a>, on Monday, held high-level discussions with prospective investors in the trade, mining, and pharmaceutical industries to attract private-sector investment to the state.<\/p>\n<p>During a visit to the office of the Presidential Initiative for Unlocking the Healthcare Value Chain (PVAC) in Abuja, Governor Zulum met with representatives of the Jampur Group, an international conglomerate with interests spanning shipping, power, mining, and trade.<\/p>\n<p>The company, which has operated in Nigeria for over two decades, expressed interest in investing in the production of Tom Brown in Maiduguri and establishing a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Borno State.<\/p>\n<p>This aims to tackle malnutrition and improve child nutrition and healthcare services to build a productive society.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Babagana Umara Zulum assured the investors of his administration\u2019s commitment to creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive, promising land allocation and other incentives to support the proposed investments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBorno State is ready to provide the necessary support for investors. We will make land available and offer every necessary incentive required to ensure the successful establishment of the proposed pharmaceutical manufacturing company and other related industrial projects,\u201d Governor Zulum said.<\/p>\n<p>The Governor also underscored the state\u2019s strategic economic advantage, describing Borno as a commercial gateway to the Northeast and African countries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBorno occupies a strategic position that gives investors access to the entire Northeast market as well as five neighboring countries.
