That\u2019s up from $28.2 billion, or $2.31 per share, in the same period a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Revenue grew 24% to $119.8 billion from $96.43 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts, on average, were expecting revenue of $117.06 billion, according to a poll by FactSet. Google did not disclose an adjusted earnings figure that\u2019s comparable to analysts\u2019 expectations, which was $2.88 per share. Google saw a net gain of $98 billion, mainly as a result of gains on its equity investments \u2014 mostly in\u00a0<a aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/musk-spacex-tesla-ipo-trillionaire-billionaire-worth-rockets-7723f82b6063a9a17c194e25982cd66d\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/musk-spacex-tesla-ipo-trillionaire-billionaire-worth-rockets-7723f82b6063a9a17c194e25982cd66d\">SpaceX, which went public in June<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur AI investments are redefining what\u2019s possible across every part of our business,\u201d said CEO Sundar Pichai in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Emarketer analyst Nate Elliott called the results \u201cimpressive,\u201d especially in regards to AI.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the consumer side, Gemini is now within a whisker of becoming Google\u2019s third different 1 billion-user consumer AI product, alongside AI Overviews and AI Mode,\u201d he said. \u201cOn the enterprise side, AI demand is driving enormous growth in the cloud business.
