{"id":921955,"date":"2026-07-23T10:12:47","date_gmt":"2026-07-23T15:12:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2026\/07\/23\/clutch-revealed-as-xbox-play-anywhere-title-dev-shows-off-60-minutes-of-gameplay\/"},"modified":"2026-07-23T10:12:47","modified_gmt":"2026-07-23T15:12:47","slug":"clutch-revealed-as-xbox-play-anywhere-title-dev-shows-off-60-minutes-of-gameplay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2026\/07\/23\/clutch-revealed-as-xbox-play-anywhere-title-dev-shows-off-60-minutes-of-gameplay\/","title":{"rendered":"Clutch Revealed As Xbox Play Anywhere Title, Dev Shows Off 60 Minutes Of Gameplay"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"body\">\n<article id=\"article\">\n<header>\n<section>\n<p>The highly-anticipated new racer from Maverick Games<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<ul>\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.purexbox.com\/users\/253452\/avatar.jpg?v=1583410392\" width=\"30\" height=\"30\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"FraserG\">by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/authors\/FraserG\">Fraser Gilbert<\/a><\/li>\n<li><time data-days=\"5\" datetime=\"2026-06-26T11:00:00+00:00\">Fri 26th Jun 2026<\/time><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/section>\n<\/header>\n<div>\n<section>\n<p>The new racer from Maverick Games known as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/news\/2026\/06\/ex-forza-horizon-director-reveals-clutch-a-new-aaa-racer-coming-to-xbox-in-2027\">Clutch<\/a><\/strong> has been getting a lot of attention this month, and the developer has followed up on that by sharing 60 minutes of new gameplay as part of a YouTube livestream.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to this, it was confirmed last night that Clutch will be an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/features\/xbox-play-anywhere-is-convincing-people-to-buy-their-multiplatform-games-on-xbox\">Xbox Play Anywhere<\/a> title when it releases in 2027, meaning you&#8217;ll get a free native copy on the Xbox PC store if you buy it for Xbox Series X or Series S.<\/p>\n<p>In the &#8220;early gameplay presentation&#8221; (shown above), we get to see a little bit of everything &#8211; a bunch of races and open-world exploration, various cutscenes, and plenty of on-foot moments towards the end of the broadcast.<\/p>\n<p>While a lot of comparisons have naturally been made to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/games\/xbox-series-x\/forza_horizon_6\">Forza Horizon<\/a> considering how Maverick Games&#8217; CEO (Mike Brown) is an ex-FH creative director, this certainly appears to take inspiration from other racing titles as well, such as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/games\/xbox-series-x\/need_for_speed_unbound\">Need for Speed<\/a> series.<\/p>\n<p>It certainly looks the part right now &#8211; let&#8217;s hope it can realise its potential when it hits Xbox in the early part of next year.<\/p>\n<p><em>How are you feeling about Clutch as things stand?
