Get free daily news updates and analysis, straight to your inbox.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>It made Paraguay&#8217;s task that much harder but they weathered wave after wave of T\u00fcrkiye attacks to claim the win in a remarkable turnaround following their opening 4-1 demolition by the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 data-testid=\"embed-heading\">Haiti&#8217;s return to the World Cup after 52 years<\/h2>\n<p><span>Haiti almost bagged their first World Cup goal in 52 years in their match against Brazil when Ricardo Ade&#8217;s glancing header at a corner forced goalkeeper Alisson Becker into a sharp stop, but it was a rare moment of hope.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The team made their World Cup debut in 1974, scoring goals against Italy and Argentina. The Carribean team&#8217;s next chance at a World Cup goal comes when they play Morocco in Atlanta. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Haiti&#8217;s loss means their game against Morocco will also be their last World Cup game in 2026. They will be the first country to exit this World Cup. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>With 77 places separating the nations in the FIFA rankings, Brazil quickly took control and thought they had scored when Raphinha fired home, only for the Barcelona winger to be flagged offside.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>For Brazil, the match was an opportunity to breathe life into their World Cup campaign and close in on a spot in the last 32. Matheus Cunha scored twice as Brazil eased past Haiti 3-0. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>After a much-criticised display in their opening 1-1 draw with Morocco, the five-time world champions underlined the gulf in class against Haiti. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Cunha&#8217;s scruffy goal in Philadelphia gave Brazil the lead midway through the first half, and he struck again as Carlo Ancelotti&#8217;s side asserted their dominance.  Vin\u00edcius J\u00fanior added a third before the break.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Brazil play Scotland in their final Group C game in Miami on 24 June.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Sele\u00e7\u00e3o currently have the edge over Morocco for top spot on goal difference. Morocco looked a class above Scotland for much of the first half.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure data-testid=\"embeded-image\"><img alt=\"1781923940881-98bf1357-1d6e-4b33-839e-9a3d29890032-goal-Morocco-2.png\" Eindhoven to German giants Bayern Munich.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<p><span>The quality of his strike showed why he is attracting such interest, and it was telling that Scotland lacked the same quality in the opposition box \u2014 that helps explain why Morocco are ranked fifth in the world, and Scotland 40th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Scotland were as stodgy in attack as they have been for a long time, and it took until first-half stoppage time for them to create anything dangerous.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Although Steve Clarke&#8217;s men played with more intensity after the break, it was Morocco who came closest to getting the game&#8217;s second goal when an effort by Saibari was deflected on to the bar shortly after the interval.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Morocco have four points after drawing 1-1 with Brazil in their first match and they face Haiti in their final group match.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<p><span>Scotland have three points after beating Haiti 1-0 last Saturday which might be enough to see them into the World Cup knockout round for the first time. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Scots will close out their group games against Brazil next Wednesday.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 opponent&#8217;s <\/span><a data-variant=\"textBodyLink\" the US scored a second, following a hotly debated call by VAR.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Australia came back stronger in the second half, substituting Jason Geria, Conor Metcalfe and Nestory Irankunda on as Nishan Velupillay, Cam Burgess and Mo Tour\u00e9 went off.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>But despite the stronger gameplay, Australia was unable to score.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The USA finished with the
