\n\tEXCLUSIVE: <\/strong>The All-American Rejects<\/a> are launching microdrama<\/a> series SuperFan<\/a><\/em>. The bite-sized show will run to 31 episodes and be available on the CandyJar<\/a> microdrama platform.<\/p>\n \n\tThe plot of the series sees the band kidnapped by a deranged fan who forces them to release new music. The story soon escalates from basement captivity to full-blown livestream chaos as the group are forced to finish their album under pressure while the internet watches.<\/p>\n \n\tNatalie Marciano\u2019s Poster Child Pictures produces. For the band, the series is a new way to promote their new record, Sandbox<\/em>, which is their first album in 14 years.<\/p>\n \n\tWatch the trailer here.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cSuperFan <\/em>started as a crazy idea and somehow got crazier from there,\u201d said Tyson Ritter of The All-American Rejects. \u201cWe are all about being disruptive and CandyJar understands exactly what we are trying to do. Veteran TV producer Chris Collins (And Just Like That<\/em>), unscripted producer John Salcido (Welcome to Wrexham<\/em>) and Eric Guilmette also produced, alongside Poster Child\u2019s Marciano. Guilmette also stars in the series, as does Anna Lore (Final Destination: Bloodlines<\/em>).<\/p>\n \n\tCandyJar and The All-American Rejects\u00a0also said they are teaming on a second project, billed as a \u201cromance-forward original movie that speaks to the brand\u2019s core audience.\u201d SuperFan <\/em>episodes will be released in free batches or viewers can subscribe to binge the whole series.
