Not only that, but almost <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/366642319\/Almost-90-of-women-leave-tech-industry-within-10-years\">90% of women choose to leave their tech career within 10 years<\/a> of starting it.<\/p>\n<p>The reasons for this are plentiful, including a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/366633544\/Documentary-to-show-womens-journey-to-becoming-role-models\">lack of visible and accessible role models<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/366622514\/Work-life-balance-biggest-barrier-for-women-in-tech-says-survey\">poor opportunities for career progression, a lack of flexibility<\/a>\u00a0and a lack of inclusive culture.<\/p>\n<p>By publishing the list of the most influential women in UK tech each year, Computer Weekly hopes not only to showcase the female talent that already exists, but to highlight exactly\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/366627877\/Thousands-of-women-in-tech-leave-their-roles-each-year\">what is standing in women\u2019s way<\/a> when it comes to a thriving tech career, in the hope that doing so will encourage change for the better. The aim is also to provide <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/366615679\/From-beauty-model-to-tech-role-model-this-years-most-influential-woman-in-UK-tech\">visible and accessible role models<\/a> for everyone who feels like the technology sector is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/252526202\/Why-the-Most-Influential-Woman-in-UK-Tech-2022-created-a-book-of-role-models\">not for people like them<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Each year, we recognise the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/366634102\/Computer-Weeklys-Women-in-UK-Tech-Rising-Stars-2025\">technology sector\u2019s Rising Stars<\/a>\u00a0alongside the top 50, as well as adding several great women in tech to our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerweekly.com\/news\/366547833\/Most-Influential-Women-in-UK-Tech-Computer-Weeklys-Hall-of-Fame\">Hall of Fame, of which there are now more than 50 members<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once the nominations are received, a group of expert judges will choose the top 50 shortlist, after which Computer Weekly readers can vote on the top 50 via an online poll to indicate who on the shortlist they believe should be named the 2026 Most Influential Woman in UK Technology.<\/p>\n<p>The winner, as well as the full top 50 list, will be announced at the Computer Weekly and Harvey Nash diversity in tech event in London on 15 October.<\/p>\n<p>Please complete the form below to tell us who you would like to nominate \u2013 and why \u2013 along with some basic details about yourself, and click on the \u201cSubmit\u201d button to send your nomination to our judges.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for submission of nominations for this year\u2019s list is 23.59 on Sunday 9\u00a0August.<\/p>\n<section data-menu-title=\"Judging panel\">\n<h2><i data-icon=\"1\"><\/i>Judging panel<\/h2>\n<p>The judging panel who will decide the shortlist and order of the top 50 alongside the readers\u2019 vote comprises industry professionals and experts, including:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Russ Shaw, founder of Tech London Advocates and Global Tech Advocates;<\/li>\n<li>Debbie Forster, NED, adviser and coach;<\/li>\n<li>Sheridan Ash, founder and co-CEO, Tech She Can;<\/li>\n<li>Clare McDonald, business editor at Computer Weekly;<\/li>\n<li>Bryan Glick, editor-in-chief of Computer Weekly;<\/li>\n<li>And a representative from Harvey Nash.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/section>\n<section data-menu-title=\"Non-binary tech talent\">\n<h2><i data-icon=\"1\"><\/i>Non-binary tech talent<\/h2>\n<p>We realise people who are non-binary may not want to be included in a list of predominantly women.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a non-binary person in tech or you want to champion a non-binary person in the industry, we still want your nominations \u2013 if you\u2019re comfortable here, please proceed.
