\u201cWednesday\u201d and \u201cScream\u201d star Jenna Ortega is set to play the lead role in legendary French auteur Leos Carax\u2019s new film \u201cLily May B\u201d.<\/p>\n

The project marks the \u201cHoly Motors\u201d and \u201cPola X\u201d filmmaker\u2019s seventh feature and his first since 2021\u2019s musical romance \u201cAnnette\u201d.<\/p>\n

Set to begin shooting in Spring next year, this marks the first time Carax has worked with Ortega. It is, however, expected to contain all the heightened and dreamlike visuals that have become Carax\u2019s signature.<\/p>\n

The film\u2019s rather crazy synopsis reads as follows:<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce upon a time, there was a little girl, a young woman and a young boy. They each held a secret too heavy to bear.<\/p>\n

They met in an end-of-the-world world, and together rode a big motorcycle through empty cities, deserted freeways, immemorial forests.<\/p>\n

On their journey, they encountered many dangers, but kept going. In search of who they were; in search of a place to B, maybe?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Hugo S\u00e9lignac (\u201cBeating Hearts\u201d) produces. The rest of the film\u2019s cast is reportedly set to be unveiled in September.<\/p>\n
