Alessi Rose<\/strong> has shared her new single \u2018Skin\u2019.<\/p>\n The alt-pop siren closed out 2025 on a high \u2013 following stints on the road alongside Madison Beer and Dua Lipa (separately, mind you!) Alessi then shared her \u2018Voyeur\u2019 (Deluxe) EP in full.<\/p>\n Lauded with a place on the BBC Sound Of 2026 long-list, Alessi Rose takes another step forwards with new single \u2018Skin\u2019.<\/p>\n Produced and co-written by\u00a0Adam Yaron<\/strong>\u00a0(Alex Warren), the lyrical darkness finds Alessi questioning her place in the world \u2013 on-the-road ennui can cause self-doubt, and reaches full expression in her new single.<\/p>\n \u201cThink I\u2019m back in the emptiness, wearing somebody else\u2019s skin \/ Still I try to be whatever you desire,\u201d\u00a0sings\u00a0Alessi<\/strong>.\u00a0\u201cNow they\u2019re turning on all the lights, who am I without a disguise? \/ I look at me and don\u2019t even recognize her.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Musically, it contains one of her most potent vocals, a soaring performance which acts as a personal exorcism.<\/p>\n She explains: \u201cThis song was written in a period that felt very different for me I have been lucky enough to be locked away in the studio burrowing into the many feelings I have simmering under the surface, many of them remnants of a crazy last year, and I hadn\u2019t realised how much of my OCD-ridden brain was so dependent on the validation of others \u2014 people telling me I was doing good and it was all going to be okay.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Skin\u2019 was the realization that the more you try to be everything that everyone else wants, the less you feel like yourself.
