This included specialist resources from neighbouring services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was no fire, and our crews worked alongside other partner agencies to undertake rescues and assist with the evacuation of passengers from both trains.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was a major incident, requiring a substantial and co-ordinated emergency response. A further 56 others also suffered minor injuries.\u201dThey took 54 people to six hospitals, while those with less serious injuries were treated at the scene, Mr Gates said.\u201cWe dispatched a significant number of resources, including more than 20 ambulances, specialist Hazardous Area Response Teams, and six air ambulances.
