Ange Postecoglou has been announced as Al-Nassr’s new head coach.<\/p>\n

Jorge Jesus left his post at Al-Nassr, who are led by Cristiano Ronaldo, at the end of the 2025-26 season, despite leading them to the Saudi Pro League title for the first time in seven years.<\/p>\n

And now Postecoglou is returning to management for the first time since being sacked by Nottingham Forest last October after just 39 days in charge.<\/p>\n

That was the shortest managerial reign of any permanent Premier League manager to leave a club during the season, and he failed to win any of his matches in charge.<\/p>\n

Postecoglou, who also previously ended Tottenham’s 17-year wait for a trophy by winning the Europa League in 2025 before being sacked, has penned a two-year deal with the Riyadh-based side.<\/p>\n

The Australian also won five major honours across two seasons with Celtic before joining Spurs, and had been linked with\u00a0the vacant Scotland job.<\/p>\n

But Postecoglou will instead step into the dugout for\u00a0Al-Nassr, with his first game in charge set to come against Diriyah in the King Cup of Champions next month.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
