Mike Tindall<\/a> shared a heartbreaking new update about his father, who has Parkinson\u2019s disease<\/a>. Mike\u2019s father, Philip, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease more than two decades ago and is currently \u201cnot doing great\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This revelation was made by Mike, 47, on his wife Zara Tindall\u2019s birthday last week<\/a>. The couple spent the day at The Belfry<\/a> in Sutton Coldfield for Mike’s annual charity tournament the ISPS Handa Celebrity Golf Classic.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The event is held to support two charities: Cure Parkinson’s and the sporting-injury charity, The Matt Hampson Foundation.<\/p>\n

These charities are both believed to be very close to Mike\u2019s heart.<\/p>\n

\n

Speaking about his father\u2019s life with Parkinson\u2019s<\/a> to Hello Magazine,<\/a> Mike revealed: \u201cMy dad is not doing great at the moment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cParkinson’s is brutal and there is no let up from how it attacks the body and changes people.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“After 23 (plus) years of the disease, it has quite honestly left him a shell of what he once was, which is why I don’t want anyone else to see a parent or loved one suffer and have their quality of life decline so massively.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Mike is believed to be close with his father,<\/a> saying in a previous interview how good he was at parenting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As his father was a rugby player like Mike, it is believed he shared his wisdom with his son, which Mike believes helped him become a success on the rugby pitch.<\/p>\n

Mike once said in an interview: \u201cHe was an absolutely unbelievable father.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
