The pension fund reportedly manages about 21.3 billion yen in assets (about $130 million).<\/p>\n<p>Japanese crypto news site CoinPost <a href=\"https:\/\/coinpost.jp\/?p=718601\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">reported<\/a> that the pension fund is adding crypto as part of an effort to diversify its exposure. SBI Shinsei Bank has <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/sbi-shinsei-bank-crypto-vouchers-deposit-interest-japan\">begun testing a deposit-linked rewards program<\/a> offering vouchers redeemable for Bitcoin, Ether or XRP, ahead of a planned permanent launch this autumn.<\/p>\n<p>On June 12, Metaplanet, Japan\u2019s largest publicly listed Bitcoin holder, also <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/metaplanet-to-form-securities-arm-through-siiibo-acquisition\">agreed to acquire Siiibo Securities<\/a> for 2.1 billion yen.
