While WNBA fans are used to seeing Clark dominate games for the Fever, Johnson recently spoke about what it\u2019s like to share the locker room with the 24-year-old. The South Carolina alum hailed Clark for being a \u201cball of energy\u201d and revealed that she is always making jokes off the court.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019s so funny. I think people need to get to know her outside of basketball. She\u2019s literally like me. We\u2019re like a ball of energy. She\u2019s always having fun, she\u2019s always smiling, always making jokes,\u201d Johnson said during a conversation with Fever Insiders Chloe Peterson and Brian Haenchen on IndyStar TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n On the court, Clark remains one of the most influential and prominent stars in women\u2019s sports and is enjoying another prolific year with the Fever. The 2024 Rookie of the Year is averaging 20.4 points, 8.3 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game on 40.2% shooting.<\/p>\n As she looks to lead the Fever to the playoffs, Clark has also announced her first signature sneaker with Nike. The 6-foot-0 guard\u2019s sneaker was launched on Wednesday afternoon after months of anticipation, with the Nike Caitlin 1s set to become available in October.<\/p>\n Clark had shared her excitement and dropped hints about the launch of her signature shoe in the weeks leading up to the release.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is like your debut album, you want it to be killer\u2026 A lot of it speaks to different parts of my life and different parts of my journey,\u201d Clark said to ESPN<\/a>.<\/p>\n
