Intermountain Health has again been recognized as one of the nation\u2019s safest health systems for patients, according to The Leapfrog Group, a national healthcare safety and quality measurement organization that released its Spring 2026 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades<\/a>.<\/p>\n Several hospitals also achieved a Straight \u201cA\u201d designation, earning an A grade for five consecutive Leapfrog reporting cycles, reflecting sustained excellence in patient safety over time.<\/p>\n Hospitals earning an \u201cA\u201d for Spring 2026 include:<\/strong><\/p>\n * Straight \u201cA\u201d designation for five consecutive Leapfrog reporting cycles.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cThese results reflect both\u202fcommitment\u202fand compassion\u202facross Intermountain,\u201d said Cara Camiolo, MD, chief\u202fquality\u202fand safety officer for Intermountain Health. \u201cEarning an \u2018A\u2019\u202fhelps\u202fvalidate\u202four caregivers\u2019 efforts toward\u202fdisciplined teamwork, transparency, and\u202fspeaking\u202fup for safety every day. Whether a hospital achieved a Straight \u2018A\u2019 or made important progress this spring, each result\u202frepresents\u202fcaregivers doing the right things, for the right reasons, to\u202fcreate an \u2018Always Safe\u2019 culture.\u201d<\/p>\n The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade evaluates\u202fhospitals on\u202fperformance related to infections, medical errors, accidents, injuries, and the systems in place to prevent harm before it occurs.
