India defeated Pakistan by 64 runs at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham in their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 fixture on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\nAll-rounder Deepti Sharma starred with a five-wicket haul, as Pakistan were bundled out for 106, whilst chasing 171 against the Women in Blue.<\/p>\n

\nBatting first, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side were marshalled by a 68-run knock by opener Smriti Mandhana, who amassed nine fours and two maximums in her innings.<\/p>\n

\nKaur and Richa Ghosh (34) joined hands to add 70 to the overall tally. Ghosh’s knock was instrumental, as she took merely 17 balls, smashing five fours and a maximum before being clean bowled by Fatima Sana.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
