Or\u00a0a\u00a0maid with a\u00a0music education cleaning the floors in\u00a0the next room? <br \/>For 2\u00a0days, I\u00a0kept thinking about what it\u00a0could\u00a0be. I\u00a0take the dress off the hangers again, hang them back. And like in\u00a0slow motion, I\u00a0see: the light hangers sway on\u00a0the rod right, left, freeze, right, left, freeze. Traffic lights in\u00a0the streets, palm trees laying in\u00a0the roads, etc. Fortunately the hotel had power, was undamaged and was open! <br \/>I\u00a0checked\u00a0in, cleaned up\u00a0and went downstairs to\u00a0see what was happening restaurant-wise. Much to\u00a0my\u00a0amazement, the hotel lobby and ballroom was filled with hundreds of\u00a0beautiful women, completely tricked out with wild evening gowns, hair, nails, and mascara done to\u00a0the nines. <br \/>Turns out it\u00a0was the last night of\u00a0some cosmetology convention and there were hundreds of\u00a0exquisite women wandering around and very few men&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div data-test-id=\"new-comment-editor\" data-id=\"28646499\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wl-static.cf.tsp.li\/avatars\/icons_wl\/8.png\" width=\"24\" height=\"24\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class>\n<div id=\"image28646502\" class>\n<ul>\n<li>We\u00a0rented an\u00a0apartment for the work trip. The owner gave\u00a0us the keys, told\u00a0us the apartment number, and left (she lived in\u00a0the neighboring building). We\u00a0entered the stairwell, but none of\u00a0the doors had numbers. By\u00a0process of\u00a0elimination, we\u00a0seemed to\u00a0find the right apartment. <br \/>I\u00a0inserted the key into the lock. The first turn went smoothly, but the second wouldn\u2019t budge. I\u00a0kept turning and turning&#8230; Pushed the door with my\u00a0side, thinking it\u00a0was stuck. <br \/>And then the door opens, and a\u00a0guy is\u00a0staring at\u00a0us with a\u00a0bewildered look! I\u2019m staring back at\u00a0him. An\u00a0awkward silent moment.
