This change responds to the gap that we have asked to be closed; it will support those who speak up about wrongdoing in the private security industry, giving them greater legal protection when they raise genuine concerns with us.<\/p>\n<p>If approved, prescribed person status will give workers in the private security industry whistleblowing status and the legal protection that comes with it when making a disclosure to the SIA about unlawful activity in the security industry.<\/p>\n<p>We will publish more information and detailed guidance on what this change means when the Instrument is commenced.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><ins data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4000288052572090\" data-ad-slot=\"3908435902\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><\/p>\n<p>\n    \/Public Release.
