Michael Fassbender is in negotiations to join \u201cVox Lux\u201d and \u201cChildhood of a Leader\u201d filmmaker Brady Corbet\u2019s mysterious new feature film.<\/p>\n

Not a lot is known about the project, with Corbet offering the most clues in a previous interview where he said the whole tale spans from the 19th century to the present day, and will primarily be set in the 1970s.<\/p>\n

He calls it \u201creally, really genre-defying\u201d and has a \u201clooser style\u201d than his previous films. It will potentially be an X-rated film and will be shot using rare eight-perf 65mm cameras.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s even a rumored title \u2013 \u201cThe Origin of the World\u201d. David Kaplan and Andrew Morrison produce the feature, which will be Corbet\u2019s first directorial effort since \u201cThe Brutalist\u201d landed 10 Oscar nominations.<\/p>\n

He also recently produced the talked-about Amanda Seyfried-led feature \u201cThe Testament of Ann Lee\u201d.<\/p>\n

Fassbender is currently in Cannes with Na Hong-jin\u2019s South Korean sci-fi thriller \u201cHope\u201d and was recently seen in Steven Soderbergh\u2019s \u201cBlack Bag\u201d and Paramount+ series \u201cThe Agency\u201d.<\/p>\n
